Citizens Building and Loan Donates $2500 to Kids Planet
On behalf of Kids Planet, Leadership Greer XXX would like to thank Citizens Building & Loan (CBL) for their donation of $2500. These funds, along with donations from other businesses, will go towards revitalizing the park in April of this year.
Citizens Building & Loan has been a cornerstone of Greer since 1907, giving the community over a century of friendly, hometown service. Additionally, CBL has established a charitable foundation in 1999 to support local non-profit and charitable entities in the Greer Area.

Kids Planet At Century Park:
In March 1999, a group of 3000 volunteers came together to build Kids Planet park. The park is a wonderful recreation spot for children of all ages and abilities.
Nestled in Century Park between Hwy. 14 and Buncombe Road, Kids Planet has two large play structures, (one designed for children with special needs). There are also wooden picnic areas, pavillions and a paved walking track. It was built through a huge outpouring of love by the community of Greer for the children of Greer and the Upstate.
2010 Revitalization Efforts Underway
Ten years and thousands of children later the park is in need of refurbishing. In keeping with the tradition of the Park's volunteer-based construction, Leadership Greer XXX would like to extend an invitation to public volunteers to undertake this project. In the well-known spirit of Greer community service, please help keep this special Greer landmark in good condition. Any contribution, whether physical or monetary, will be greatly appreciated for generations to come.
